Meet Caroline

Known for her sunny disposition and playful personality, Caroline Pillow grew up in a small town right outside of Memphis, Tennessee. After her breakthrough role as “Rich Child #3” in a production of Annie at the age of 7, Caroline was hooked and continued down the path of theatre. She has since been in over 25 shows and has only picked up steam. Now, she has graduated from Oklahoma City University with a Bachelor’s of Music in Musical Theatre with a minor in Theatrical Directing and is currently based in St. Louis.

Caroline recently appeared as Margaret Johnson in The Light in the Piazza and Serena in Legally Blonde at Oklahoma City University. Regionally, she’s performed in Grease (Jan), Titanic (Kate Mullins/Madeleine Astor), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Olive Ostrovsky), Collective Rage (Betty 2), and Into the Woods (Cinderella). For her role in Spelling Bee, Caroline was nominated for a BroadwayWorld Award in 2023 for “Best Performer in a Musical”.

As a director, Caroline has worked with the Texas Shakespeare Festival during their 2024 summer season as Assistant Director for Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street and Assistant Choreographer for Much Ado About Nothing, Peter and the Starcatcher, and Sweeney Todd. She has also worked for the Oklahoma City Parks and Recreation Department and taught at Memphis’ Playhouse on the Square, where she helped over 150+ kids write, produce, and perform their own 10 minute plays. She has directed 10 short works, helped conceive an original play with OCU’s From Scratch, and directed her first full-length show Peter and the Starcatcher by Rick Elice February 29th through March 3rd, 2024 as a guest director for the OKC Parks and Rec.

Caroline has also dipped her toes into the world of art administration. She has acted as house manager for shows at Oklahoma City University, Germantown Community Theatre in Memphis, and most recently, The Center of Creative Arts in St. Louis. She has also acted as Box Office Manager and Social Media Manager at Germantown Community Theatre.

When she’s not in the theater, Caroline has a small business for hand-lettering, embroidery, and calligraphy where she creates pieces for weddings, showers, graduations, you name it!
