Meet Caroline

Known for her sunny position and playful personality, Caroline Pillow grew up in a small town right outside of Memphis, Tennessee. After her breakthrough role as “Rich Child #3” in a production of Annie, Caroline was hooked and continued down the path of theatre. She has since been in over 25 shows and has only picked up steam. Now, she has graduated from Oklahoma City University with a Bachelor’s of Music in Musical Theatre with a minor in Theatrical Directing.

Caroline recently appeared as Margaret Johnson in The Light in the Piazza and Serena in Legally Blonde at Oklahoma City University. Regionally, she performed in Grease (Jan), Titanic (Kate Mullins/Madeleine Astor), The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Olive Ostrovsky), Collective Rage (Betty 2), and Into the Woods (Cinderella). For her role in Spelling Bee, Caroline was nominated for a BroadwayWorld Award in 2023 for “Best Performer in a Musical”.

Caroline has also directed for the Oklahoma City Parks and Recreation Department and taught at Memphis’ Playhouse on the Square, where she helped over 150+ kids write, produce, and perform their own 10 minute plays. She has directed 10 short works and directed her first full-length show Peter and the Starcatcher by Rick Elice February 29th through March 3rd, 2024 as a guest director for the OKC Parks and Rec. Caroline’s goal for making theatre is to create a safe space for everyone through collaboration and communication. The whole is greater than the sum of its parts, so too is theatre the culmination of everyone creating something together.

When she’s not in the theater, Caroline has a small business for hand-lettering, embroidery, and calligraphy where she creates pieces for weddings, showers, graduations, you name it! You can find out more in Lettering or @pillowlettering on Instagram. She also loves reading and annotating books, playing Dungeons and Dragons, and hanging out with her cat, Lion.
